Why Facebook is crap

I just had a notification sent to me on Facebook. “View your social profile”
I’ve never actually signed up for a social profile, and I had no idea what it was, but I’m now feeling really quite shit about myself.
Here are some examples:
“Would you date Amy?”

E-mail

E-mail from The Very Nasty Ex today.
During the period he tried to “Make friends” last year (in fact he tried to seduce me again which isn’t going to happen. Ever. In a million years) I mentioned to him that my favorite author was Joanne Harris.
This is what the e-mail said:
“Hi. There is a new anthlogy [...]

Things I currently am

In the doghouse with my father after a rather large row we had last night which he sulked spectacularly over afterwards.
Tired, which is surprising considering I shut myself in my bedroom and fell asleep at about 9:30pm last night.
Filthy, and in need of a shower.
Curious as to why my eyes are somehow sucking themselves back [...]

SQUEEEEE!

You may have noticed (especially if you have spoken to me since last Thursday) that I have become the biggest Shakespeare Geek on the planet.
I can’t stop talking about Shakespeare. I can’t stop reading the program. I can’t stop badgering people to come and see more and more plays with me – they have Midsummer’s [...]

Withdrawal symptoms

Every night since I went to see Hamlet, I’ve been hit with an overwhelming feeling of sadness and resentment at about 7pm.
The feeling generally links to a pouty thought of “I want to see Hamlet again …”
It’s a rather weird feeling. Maybe the play is like Heroin; you see it once and have to see [...]

The making of me

I woke up to a text.
This text is not from The Very Nasty Ex, but the Ex before him. The one who was only very nasty once, who kind of paved the way for TVNE to swoop in and take over. Him. The one I call The First Boy, because he was my first “proper” [...]

Camera capers

Whilst I was staying in Wales, my niece and ex-sister-in-law visited. We went bowling, as it is one of my nieces favorite things to do. She is only 7, and likes playing with my camera. After taking about 50 photos, she gave it back to me.
The lens had broken. Shit.
I had this camera for Christmas. [...]

Wanted: A map and some friends

Hello.
I’m feeling kind of lost at the moment. I feel like I don’t know what I want to do or where I want to go. It’s a pretty normal feeling for me, as I get it quite frequently, but it never fails to really affect how I think.
At the moment, I’m feeling mostly very lonely. [...]

The past few days.

Sorry I’ve been so quiet. I have been rather busy.
I was in Wales Monday to Wednesday, with a woman who calls the computer “That bip-bip thing”, so didn’t really have Internet access. I had fun, though. Actually, that’s a lie, it was pure hell from start to finish as Brennig can tell you from the [...]
